Peer Review Process

The reviewing process of submitted articles in "Advanced Technologies in Mechanics" journal is consistent with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland.

Review procedure includes:

a) The formal assessment and preliminary evaluation of the paper by the editorial board;
b) The external publishing review – all the papers are evaluated by independent reviewers, who are experts on the subject concerned. The reviewers are not members of the editorial and scientific committee of the journal. The reviewer of a given paper is not affiliated with the research center represented by the author. The evaluation is carried out in accordance with the principle of double anonymity of the reviewer and the author of the article (double-blind review).

Based on reviewers recommendations the Editor decides whether the paper should be accepted, revised (minor or major revision) or rejected. Authors will be informed about the final decision as soon as possible. All papers that are not accepted will be returned with a copy of the referees' reports explaining the decision. The review process is a constructive one, aimed at making good contributions better. As such, reviews look for: clarity of expression and readability, implications and applications and conformance to editorial objectives.
